Vector Point Cranial Therapy
Discover healing through no-force chiropractic adjustments.
VPCT helps treat conditions including:
• Neck and back pain
• Headaches and migraines
• Whiplash
• Shoulder, hip and Sacroilliac pain
• Sciatica, TMJ and other conditions
“Vector Point Cranial Therapy adjusts the spine by working on pressure points on the skull.
Dr. Marianne Nielsen, DC has been using treating patients using Vector Point Cranial Therapy for over 30 years. This powerful and effective technique, developed by Dr David Denton, releases tension in the membrane that connects the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.
“The mechanical release of tension helps many patients who otherwise cannot alleviate their pain, reduce stiffness, or gain more mobility. I have a lot of patients that are afraid of traditional chiropractic adjustments—or they have spinal fusions, osteoporosis or other conditions that prevent the osseous adjustment of that segment. The good news is with VPCT, I can still adjust themwithout using any force to the segment or spine—that is why it is called a “no force chiropractic adjustment.”
How is an VPCT adjustment done?
“I find the points on the skull that correspond to the area of the spine that is misaligned, and by putting pressure on those points I can mechanically release the tension in the membrane that connects the nerves at the level of the spine. The nerve relaxes the muscle and the vertebrae can move back into alignment.”
Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT) helps patients, too.
Sacro-occipital technique is a chiropractic technique developed by Dr. Dejarnette to restore the functional relationship between the head, the pelvis, and the spine.
“SOT is an integral part of Vector Point Cranial Therapy. I use SOT with VCPT every day.
Cranial adjustments can offer instant relief.
“I use the cranium to adjust the spine but often the cranial bones need adjusting as well. One method I use is intra oral-cranial adjustments. It works for many for different ailments but one that often has immediate sense of relief is when the sinuses are not draining well. I use pressure inside the mouth to release and allow the cranial bones to be moved.”
